Jon Bon Jovi's JBJ Soul Kitchen, which opened in Red Bank, New Jersey in 2011, is a community restaurant with no prices: diners pay a suggested donation, pay forward for someone else, or volunteer in exchange for a meal. In September 2024 he was captured on video helping talk a woman off the ledge of Nashville's John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
